1. What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
Had a baby!
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I made resolutions for 2009, but I do want to run a 5K in 2010 and I have one other secret resolution that may or may not come true.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
It was the year of babies! Sarah welcomed Hadley in February, Lacy had Parker in July, and Deanna had Brooklynn in June...then Mr. Desmond arrived in October!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not in 2009, but I've already lost a friend in 2010.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
An organized pantry...this will be the year I conquer my pantry, I swear....
7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 5, the day I found out I was pregnant. October 6, the day my baby was born. February 14, the day Ms. Hadley was born.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Hmm....I successfully grew a human. Inside of me.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Jeremy and I had set a lot of goals for 2009, but a lot of them just weren't reasonable to achieve with the pregnancy. However, Jeremy & Friends did get the house painted, which was pretty dang cool and it looks a lot better.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I was uncharacteristically sick in January, and then had morning sickness with the pregnancy. Blech.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
We didn't buy it, but we got a "new to us" tv and it's awesome! The Wii is pretty cool too.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I think Jeremy really stepped up to the plate with this whole "surprise! I'm pregnant!" thing.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Tiger Woods. What a letdown.
14. Where did most of your money go?
I kept contributing to my 401(k) even after changing from full-time to flex status. We built up our savings fund a bit. The OB-GYN also got a fair share.

a) happier or sadder? Happier!
b) thinner or fatter? Fatter.
c) richer or poorer? Poorer.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Decorating my house. Working on my cross-stitch. Hanging out with my sister.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Worrying. Although I think I did less worrying in 2009 than in 2008, all things considered.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Christmas Eve with my grandparents in Emmett, Christmas morning at our house, Christmas day with my family, day after Christmas with Jeremy's dad and stepmom. Spent the entire week after that recovering.

Everyday more and more.

I loved "The Birth House", along with the Jenny McCarthy pregnancy book and "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy."

We listened to lots of nature-sounds CDs to prepare for hypnobirthing. I also enjoyed Pink Floyd this year.
26. What did you want and get?
An iPod!
27. What did you want and not get?
Twins. an Iphone. Not necessarily in that order.
28. What was your favorite film of this year?
I'm not much of a movie-goer, so I'm kind of drawing a blank. I did have a great time going to see Julie & Julia with Emily, the ticket taker directed us to the wrong theater so we only saw the last hour of the movie, but didn't realize we were watching the last hour until the credits started rolling.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 27 and Jeremy planned a dinner get-together with some girlfriends. I also went to Goody's for ice cream with more girlfriends and my sister.
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
More prenatal massage, from beginning to end of pregnancy. Worth every penny.

Anything that could cover my gargantuan belly.
32. What kept you sane?

My prenatal massage therapist! She rocks.

Sometimes the best things in life are unplanned.
38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
I can't think of any, but am open to suggestions!!
