How Can I Help?

A cancer diagnosis is not something that will go away quickly. Desmond will have chemotherapy treatment for 6 to 9 months, along with 5 weeks of radiation treatment in the middle of that. After his chemo is complete, he will have scans every 3 months for the first year, every 4 months for the second year, every 6 months for the third through fifth years, and then yearly through college.

This is a marathon, not a sprint.

We are so appreciative of all offers to help. If you'd like to contribute meals, please sign up with our Meal Train link: http://www.mealtrain.com/?id=mm9ywsnq88jt

For those who wish to contribute financially, we have set up a YouCaring page. You can donate through this link: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/support-superhero-desmond/151997 .

We have also set up an account in Desmond's name at all Idaho Central Credit Unions. Your donation will help with Des' medical needs, including out-of-pocket insurance deductibles for current traditional and holistic palliative treatments and long-term care (future scans, treatment for chemotherapy side effects, etc).  It will also help offset the cost of missed work that isn't covered by Paid Time Off, or anything else that will help us focus on getting Desmond the best care possible.  To donate, go to any Idaho Central Credit Union and tell them you want to donate to Desmond Baker's care account.

If you would like to lead a fundraiser, a family friend has offered to help with creating promotional materials.

If there is another way you feel you can help, please let us know. We are so grateful for the incredible community of support we have in our family, friends, and those we haven't even met yet.
